Whispa        Show name: Shout!

15.2hh Bay Quarter Horse / Arabian cross

A severely abused and neglected stallion before he came to Golden Gate Park
Stables, I started training Whispa not only for riding but in his ground manners as
well.  In 1999 I purchased Whispa as an unruly but talented dressage prospect and
he is the first horse I have ever owned.  He is only used for very experienced and
skilled riders as he can buck on occasion.  Since the time that I bought Whispa, he
has not only become trusting and confident, but is now, despite a few injuries to
horse and rider that delayed our progress, working well at fourth level with some
movements at Prix St. Georges, and is showing successfully at third.  Although he
does not jump much anymore, Whispa and I were jumping courses over 4'6".

Spitfire

Bay 2006   Lipizzan / Arabian / Quarter horse / Trakehner cross

After finding out the disappointing news of Fancy's physical limitations, I bred Fancy to a
Lipizzan Stallion named Siglavy XI-6 (Jozsef)in the summer of 2005.  May 11, 2006, Fancy
delivered this very beautiful and elegant baby to us.  Unlike the other babies at the farm
where she was born, Spitfire was a fearless, independent baby and had to be halter trained
when she was a mere three days old to keep her by her mother's side.  Spitfire has been a
complete joy, as well as a challenge, to train and has been an invaluable learning experience
for my students and me.
Fancy        Registered name: Fancy Dancer

15.2hh Liver Chestnut Arabian / Quarter Horse / Trakehner cross

Fancy was a wedding present for Rick and I from one of Rick's sisters.  I picked up
the mare when she was 4 1/2 years old and after extensive training and retraining,
she is now a wonderful steady and calm mare who thrives on attention.  Due to an
injury to Fancy's left hock before I received her, Fancy will not stay sound if she is
worked up to the level of her natural abilities.  Therefore, Fancy is used only for
lower level dressage, cavaletti and easy trail rides.  She is also being started in
harness, as pulling a cart instead of being ridden will be much easier on her joint.
An interesting note, I discovered that Fancy and Lodi both trace back to Three Bars
and are distant cousins.
Lodi        Registered name: Triple Imperial (Show name: Blazing Sin)

15.1hh Liver Chestnut Quarter Horse

Lodi was given to me when he developed a nasty biting habit that his previous owner
could not handle.  After a lengthy session with an Equine Dentist and some consistent
work in hand, Lodi is now a happy, relaxed (if still mischievous) horse.  While originally
being sold as a strictly western hose, Jennifer, Lodi's main rider, and I, discovered that he
not only has a talent for jumping but enjoys it immensely.  Lodi has also started dressage
training and is schooling first level.
New to the Sinasohn Training herd is Pete, an 11 year old Thoroughbred gelding.
Pete, registered name, PoorPoor Pitafulme, is the great grandson of Secretariat.
Unfortunately, Pete was living up to his name when I purchased him.  He was so
emaciated, he lost muscle mass in his heart and now has a heart murmur,  he also
has an old bow to his suspensory ligament, and a new bow to his deep digital flexor
tendon and has a broken front molar that may limit his ability to carry a bit in his
mouth.  Despite all those problems, Pete is a very kind and willing to please.  His
progress so far has been amazing; just before Christmas, the vet medically cleared
Pete to start work.  His deep digital flexor tendon has healed, the suspensory
ligament is stronger and, the best news of all, his heart murmur has completely
disappeared!  He is now starting to re-learn how to lunge (it's not just about
running) and will be ridden as soon as he's ready.
